🌊 Clean Water South 3 – A Fantastic Day of Collaboration and Insight 🌍
Last week, we were proud to host Clean Water South 3, bringing together 50 passionate attendees from academia, the water industry, NGOs, and beyond to tackle some of the most pressing challenges in water management and quality.
💡 The day was packed with thought-provoking roundtable discussions covering:
Data Monitoring & Citizen Science
Tackling Chemical & Emerging Pollutants
From Monitoring to Action: Making Data Count
Integrated Catchment Management: From Silos to Synergy
Water Demand, Access & Efficiency in a Changing Climate
Planning & Road Runoff: Fixing the Broken Links
The diversity of expertise in the room made for rich conversations and promising ideas for future collaboration, outputs and actions being put together as we speak!
A huge thank you to all who participated – and a special shout out to our fantastic partners at the University of Portsmouth for helping make the day a success, particularly David Hutchinson Julia Brown and Helen Currie.
We will now be consolidating everything and working on a series of policy briefs as well as planning our next event activity for the Autumn. Together, we’re making strides toward healthier, more resilient water systems. Get in touch at futuretowns@soton.ac.uk to find out more!
